Performance Assessment and System Suggestions

As your team progresses through tasks and sprints, Forecast provides a mechanism to assess their performance.

Once all the tasks are marked as Done and the Sprint has passed its last day, Forecast displays the average amount of time that your team has spent so far on past sprints - this changes as more sprints are added and hours registered.

The platform then assesses your team performance and learns, based on your work, the expected hours per story point.

Task estimation for better planning

Forecast enables you to view estimates, time registrations, and performance of past sprints. The system calculates performance based on estimated points and registered hours, offering insights for better planning.

But don’t worry, if you prefer your own performance expectations, you can override the system's suggestions and set it to how you see fit.

How it works

Once Story Points are enabled and your expected performance is set, you can seamlessly incorporate them into your tasks across projects.

Let's say a Designer is tasked with creating a logo for a client's website, and you estimate it to take around 12 hours. With the configured ratio of 1 point = 1 hour, you assign a point estimate of 12 hours to this task. The Designer can now dive into the task and progress through the sprint.
