Improved Project Scheduling
Did we allocate enough developer/tester/designer/something hours to this part of the project?
The above question regularly comes up, and with the new projects view it just became even easier to both answer and take proper action. Now you can see if you have allocated enough resources to the project in total, and also if you have, e.g. allocated enough “role” hours to each of the milestones.
If you put roles on cards when scoping; then you'll love the new projects overview in scheduling. It basically matches the estimates on your cards, with the role of the card, and the roles of individual team members, e.g. developers. This is very handy when staffing projects with the appropriate people, i.e. people with the right role and who are available.
Allocated vs. Forecast
When you hover over each milestone the system informs you; whether you have the milestone sufficiently staffed, as showcased above, and by clicking you’ll be able to make a quick booking, as shown below, for a specific role if you need more. Thus, making it even easier to find resources across your organization that are available for your project - in a matter of seconds.
