GitLab Integration Updated with New Features
GitLab user too? We got a treat for you.
Today, we've updated our GitLab integration with a bunch of brand new features. The integration is now a full-fledged integration. This means that virtually everything is synced between both GitLab and Forecast.
Previously, Forecast would only keep cards, workflow and status updated. Now, everything has changed. Danny has worked hard on delivering an integration that requires the lowest possible attention from your side. An integration that just works with the click of a button.
More specifically, GitLab users are now linked with Forecast users. This means that all activity logs are now linked to the same user in both systems. Assigning people to cards / issues is synced. Milestones are synced, and moving a card around is reflected on both workflow boards.
Creating new cards in Forecast, or issues in GitLab, is reflected both places, and continuously kept up-to-date with the current status in your workflow. Likewise, time estimations are now linked as well. Defining the estimate in GitLab will update the estimate in Forecast, keeping the high and low estimates the same. On the other hand, updating the high and low estimate in Forecast will sync the forecasted estimate, based on our algorithms, to GitLab.
Now, with all of these updates; where you do the work is really up to you.
